#GivingTuesday and “A Little Push Goes a Long Way” with Push to Walk’s 2018 Giving Campaign

Oakland, NJ- Push to Walk, a local nonprofit that provides specialized workouts and resources to individuals living with spinal cord injuries and other forms of paralysis to optimize current quality of life. The end of the year giving campaign offers supporters the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those living with paralysis.

Tuesday, November 27, 2018 will act as the official start of Push to Walk’s year-end campaign. The organization will be participating in #GivingTuesday, followed by the mailing of thousands of letters to its supporters as part of its annual A Little Push Goes a Long Way campaign. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving where people are asked to support non-profits on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.

Push to Walk will continue to post #PushUpsForPushToWalk videos on social media to raise awareness for the organization with requests for others to share, post their own videos, and donate. Push to Walk’s clients work hard year-round to maintain their physical health and wellness and in return the non-profit sets up fundraisers and events all year to offset operating expenses. #GivingTuesday is the perfect transition into the organization’s A Little Push Goes A Long Way campaign. A Little Push Goes a Long Way refers to how a small donation is just as meaningful as a large one, and hints at how important the small improvements are for clients and how what may seem little has the biggest impact.

This will be Push to Walk’s fifth year participating in #GivingTuesday and the posts of staff and clients leading up to the day have already received such positivity online. Vivian Kiggins, Executive Director stated, “Your contribution to our unique individualized program of intensive exercise helps our clients regain the ability to do daily tasks that are usually taken for granted. The staff, clients and board are deeply grateful for your support and we wish you the happiest and healthiest of holidays.”

Donation opportunities are available on the Push to Walk website: www.pushtowalknj.org. Checks can also be sent to Push to Walk at 100 Bauer Drive, Oakland, NJ 07436. For more information, please contact Stephanie Lajam at (201) 644-7567 or slajam@pushtowalknj.org.
